Carlton Connect is a mixed-use development on the edge of the Melbourne CBD developed by the University of Melbourne. Comprising three buildings, construction on this mammoth $425-million development, designed by architects Woods Bagot, began in December 2019 and was completed in July 2020.
Knauf’s acoustic plasterboard (SoundStop™) was supplied to fit out one of the three buildings.
Knauf collaborated with Lend Lease and Express Interiors to provide materials that would be suitable for the mixed-use space. For the fire and acoustical requirements, we provided our 13mm and 16mm FireStop plasterboard, 13mm SHEETROCK® HD plasterboard and 13mm SoundStop plasterboard, along with Knauf plastering compounds, finishes and adhesives, insulation, and accessories.
