GPT Group has selected KONE Elevators as its key modernisation partner for the massive upgrade project at Riverside Centre, a high-rise office building in Brisbane, Australia.
The 146m tall Riverside Centre comprises of 40 floors and houses local and international businesses, entertainment facilities as well as fine-dining restaurants and cafes. KONE will be responsible for the modernisation of the business hub’s 21 elevators as well as the introduction of a new destination control system. To incorporate the latest in elevator technology, these solutions will support the building’s green credentials and result in optimal people flow.
KONE’s advanced destination control system will use information about desired destination floors and the number of waiting passengers to maximise handling capacity, reduce journey times and ensure an optimal passenger experience. KONE’s modernisation solutions will also include high-efficiency KONE EcoDisc hoisting machines and regenerative drives that boost sustainability through reduced energy use.
