KONE Elevators will supply 14 eco-efficient elevators to the two high-rise towers forming Centrium Apartments in Sydney, Australia.
The 47-storey tower will house residential apartments, while the 32-storey tower will feature five-star serviced apartments. Once completed, the two towers will offer breath-taking views of Sydney to its residents.
KONE provided all the design assistance, energy calculations and traffic flow solutions early in the project to ensure the best possible People Flow solution.
The order includes 11 KONE MiniSpace elevators, which are well suited for travelling long distances. Five of these elevators will travel 136 metres from the underground car park all the way up to the penthouse apartments. All the elevators are powered by the KONE EcoDisc hoisting motor, which consumes less energy than other gearless elevators.
Developed and constructed by Meriton, the Centrium Apartments project is designed by PTW Architects in collaboration with Meriton. The project is expected to be completed in late 2015.
