Laminex announces the addition of four new decors in warm timber tones
and gloss finish to their Silk Finish range. Laminex’s new decors, Domain,
Burnished Wood, Jericho and Sublime Teak reflect the lustrous design trends
shaping the landscape in 2015. All four decors feature the natural appearance
of woodgrains in a smooth melamine finish.
Laminex Marketing Manager Joanna Baker explains that the new decors
respond to the growing preference for more subtle gloss finishes for use in
retail fitouts, boutique hotels and commercial developments. Observing that a
warm palette of timber grains combined with an elegant gloss finish is becoming
popular in interior design, Baker says part of the appeal of a gloss surface is
its ability to generate contrast, particularly when used in conjunction with timber
tones and textures.
Introduced specifically for Australian interiors, the contemporary new
additions bring the total Laminex Silk Finish offering to 27 decors. Each decor
in the range comes with matching gloss ABS edging for effortless finish for
doors, drawers, cabinetry and other vertical surfaces. Silk Finish is also easy
to clean.
The new Domain decor offers a rich dark woodgrain option featuring a
blended balance of popular dark shades such as browns, greys and blacks.
Burnished Wood delivers a deep charcoal colouring for an ebony effect with grey
undertones.
Jericho and Sublime Teak decors help achieve lighter colour options with
Jericho displaying soft brown-grey tones and Sublime Teak incorporating muted
honey tones.
