Designed and built from the ground up, M-Elec is proud to announce its new DDFS driver with a range of new and improved features.
1.Faster fit-off time
M-Elec’s new DDFS driver features a semi-clear terminating cover with a larger area for both terminating and extra space for any earth loops required. The semi-transparent terminal cover allows for instant viewing access of terminations and cables while also offering pre-defined snap out sections for those who like to hard wire. These new features allow for quicker inspections and easier assembly when cable terminations are finished.
2.Improved dimming range
M-Elec has long been renowned for its wide and smooth dimming range but the new DDFS driver has improved on the record again. Now ranging from as little as 1-100% while keeping a linear dimming pattern the new driver is compatible with most dimmers on the market.
3.No flicker on automation systems
Also updated on the ML-PS300DX2 is its capability to work with automation systems such as CBUS (Clipsal). The DDFS driver has the ability to work on a dimming channel without any other units and eliminates the need for any ‘dummy’ loads to prevent flicker (in the on or off state).
4.Dual fixing system
The NEW ML-PS300DX2 driver features M-Elec’s unique Dual Driver Fixing System (DDFS) that allows the installer to choose between various mounting positions. One of the most trending methods is to install the driver vertically off the heat sink to improve heat transfer and allowing the driver to sit isolated from any insulation material. The alternate method of fixing now allows for 2 screws to be used to install the driver to battens or trusses without the need to remove the terminal cover.
Custom designed metal fixing pin fits perfectly to B12’s heat sink, so the driver can be positioned away from thermal insulation to ensure the maximum life span of the driver is achieved.
5.Longer life span
New improved circuitry coupled with Long Life Rubicon® capacitors makes the ML-PS300X2 the longest life driver with the lowest fault rate. Coming standard with every B12 the new DDFS drivers will save you time and last your clients longer!
