Mermet Australia have introduced a new fabric range that can help preserve indoor air quality and thereby improve the comfort of buildings occupants.
The new GreenScreen Sea-Screen is a fabric for blinds, which is woven from 100% polyester Trevira CS and has a fine textile feel and look.
The Sea-Screen fabric has an average openness factor of 7%, offering maximum transparency, exceptional visual comfort, and great heat protection.
The GreenScreen Sea-Screen can be eligible to help projects achieve credits under several categories of the Green Building Councils of Australia Green Star ratings Scheme. Made from eco-friendly materials, the GreenScreen Sea-Screen range of fabrics is easier to recycle.
The GreenScreen Sea-Screen has also been assessed and listed by Ecospecifier as an environmentally friendlier choice by achieving significant reductions in the demand for air conditioning, reducing the electricity consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.
As all other Mermet fabrics for blinds, GreenScreen Sea-Screen has been tested for volatile organic compound emissions, with the VOC concentration expected to be less than the amount specified by Green Building Council of Australia Green Star Office Interiors.
The GreenScreen Sea-Screen is fire retardant and is suitable for all types of internal blinds including roller and roman blinds, and panel glides in both residential and commercial applications, and is available in 8 earthy colours in 2.3m width.
