Miele Australia has introduced a new line of German-engineered rangehoods featuring a sleek, ceiling-integrated design that ensures an unrestricted view across the kitchen space.

Miele’s DA 2906 rangehood has been designed as a fully integrated ceiling extractor that provides an unobstructed view across open plan cooking and dining areas, creating a sleek and harmonious elegance in the kitchen environment.

Fully integrated into the ceiling or bulkhead, the DA 2906 rangehood allows the kitchen designer to provide for optimum cooking vapour venting without impacting any views that the dwelling may enjoy. Ideal for installation over island bench cooking areas in open plan kitchens, the Miele DA 2906 rangehoods are available in a choice of glass or stainless steel panels to best complement the kitchen design and finish.

Key features of Miele’s DA 2906 integrated rangehoods include glass or stainless steel filter cover panels; effective multi-zone edge extraction optimising performance, particularly above induction cooktops; convenient remote operation enabled by a DARC6 remote control handset controlling lighting, power and fan run-on settings; high-powered maintenance-free LEDs exuding warm and natural light tone with guaranteed uniform downlighting; and energy-efficient DC motor working in conjunction with the LED lighting to deliver up to 70% energy savings.

A unique feature in the DA 2906 is the Miele [email protected], which allows the rangehood to communicate with select Con@ctivity-enabled induction cooktops and pre-emptively adapt to cooking situations on the cooktop below. This connectivity is facilitated by installing a wireless dongle in a specific spot on the cooktop.

Miele’s design efficiency enables a simple cleaning process with the edge extraction panels and grease filters easily removed for washing in a dishwasher. Both the panels and grease filters can be unhooked and removed without risk of dropping them onto the cooktop below.

The DA 2906 comes with highly flexible installation options through the use of a rotatable and relocatable motor block. For example, the installation depth can be reduced by removing the motor block from the extractor unit and installing it in an alternative location up to 2m away from the unit. This reduces the space required above the suspended ceiling to 117mm.

The Miele DA 2906 integrated rangehood has been tested to the equivalent of 20 years of usage, and is available from Miele Chartered Agents.
