As the world of Building Information Modelling (BIM) continually evolves, staying current with the latest tools is crucial for efficient and effective design. In a significant development, IGS, in collaboration with Moddex, has announced new enhancements in their BIM software libraries, marking over five years of partnership aimed at improving design processes.
Moddex is continually committed to expanding its offerings with comprehensive libraries for ArchiCAD, Revit and AutoCAD formats. These libraries are a blend of innovation and commitment to superior design practices.

ArchiCAD library: Merging efficiency with user experience
The Moddex ArchiCAD library, known for its custom GDL scripting and user-friendly interface, has been a reliable asset for over five years. Its latest addition, the Ezibilt ramp and walkway platform system, further enhances its functionality.
Revit library: Transforming virtual design
The spotlight, however, shines brightest on the Revit library. Presented as a Virtual Showroom file, the Moddex Revit library simplifies the exploration and selection of various components, including tactile indicators, shopping trolley bays, the latest Ezibilt ramp and walkway platform, and core railing and balustrade systems.
Addressing the limitations of Revit’s standard railing tool, IGS developed a solution that balances simplicity and precision. The library includes easy placement systems that use a single sketch line from the built-in railing tool, as well as separate balusters and horizontal railings for more complex designs.
Guiding users with detailed instructions
To assist users in harnessing the full potential of these tools, Moddex, in conjunction with IGS has prepared a comprehensive PDF user guide. Additionally, a ‘Contextual User Guide’ is integrated within the Revit showroom file, providing step-by-step assistance for intricate designs.
This enhancement is a response to user feedback, which highlighted the need for improvements in the Revit library.
Users are encouraged to explore these updates, especially the newly added Ezibilt range. Feedback is highly valued as it drives continual improvement and refinement of Moddex and IGS solutions.
Extending knowledge beyond BIM
Alongside these BIM tools, Moddex has also released ‘The Ultimate Guide to Handrail & Balustrade Compliance’ and the ‘Ramp Design Basics Guide’, addressing the NCC and relevant Australian and New Zealand Standards, a vital resource for ensuring design compliance and safety.
These advancements represent a significant step forward in the world of BIM. As professionals return to their projects, these new tools and resources await to make their design tasks more manageable and efficient.
