Mitsubishi ALPOLIC NC/A1 aluminium composite panels in a custom colour were selected for the recladding of a commercial building in the Brisbane suburb of Indooroopilly, QLD.
Highpoint Property, the building owners of Lantos Place, sought to replace the original solid laminate cladding as it didn’t endure the exposure to harsh UV radiation as well as expected. Mitsubishi ALPOLIC NC/A1 was selected to replace the panels due to its superior flatness (no wavy oil canning) and the Lumiflon FEVE paint technology coating, which ensures exceptional durability and protection from UV radiation, water, salt, and hail.
Hail impact resistance was also reviewed by the owners and the test data for 4mm ALPOLIC NC/A1 showed it to be far superior to 3mm solid aluminium panels. This meant less likelihood of noticeable dents on the facade after a hailstorm event.
The owners also chose a custom colour for the Lumiflon FEVE paint finish created specifically for this project. Called Sage Green Metallic G30, the custom shade was selected by the owners from multiple lab samples we submitted as the best colour to work with the green tinted glazing. Looking at that splendid finished result, the owners achieved everything that they set out to do! ALPOLIC’s colour and gloss retention is unmatched and will continue to remain vibrant for many years to come.
Mitsubishi ALPOLIC is currently the only aluminium composite panel in Australia to have an Environmental Product Declaration produced by GECA, and a 20-year full cover manufacturer’s warranty, which includes materials, labour and rectification costs, and requires no cleaning to maintain the warranty.
