QUADRA open cell ceiling from durlum met the design objectives of the architects during the execution of the interiors at an upmarket store in Seoul, Korea.
Designed by Casper Mueller Kneer Architects, the store is part of the Hyundai Department Store, one of the largest shopping centres on the Apgujeong-ro avenue in Seoul. Since its opening in 1985, it has become one of the leading providers of high-calibre brands that are accommodated over its many floors and promise refined shopping experiences. One of those brands is TIME, a modern lifestyle label from the Handsome Corporation, whose store received a new architectural identity.
durlum supplied QUADRA as the appropriate ceiling solution for this new design. The single blade louvre imbues the space with a light and airy character, emphasised by the light installed above the ceiling. The walls are plastered in natural clay and the robust furnishings made of sedimentary rock.
Completed in August 2020, the TIME Handsome Store features durlum’s QUADRA open cell ceiling.
