POLYLAM vertical baffles were used for the ceilings at the new administrative building of Dutch company elho in the town of Tilburg, Netherlands.
Located about 70 miles from Amsterdam, elho is a market-leading manufacturer of plant pots. A family-owned company for over 55 years, elho is focussed on incorporating the natural world into everyday life in a sustainable way.
Designed by Space Encounters/ Office for Architecture, the new elho administration building completed in August 2019 features a ceiling solution from durlum in the entrance area, the meeting and training rooms, and the restaurant.
Approximately 700 linear metres of POLYLAM vertical baffles have been arranged in various directions to create a ceiling design that geometrically stimulates the environment and delivers an interesting visual experience. The baffles are powdercoated in grey and white, and work well with the other interior design elements including a large number of plants, to create a sense of space.
The big gaps between the baffles reinforce the openness and spaciousness, with the ceiling void also providing enough space to accommodate technical equipment.
POLYLAM vertical baffles specifications: 0.7mm thickness, length 3600mm, width 100mm, height 200mm, aluminium, powdercoated in RAL 9002 Matt.
