Prodema exterior facade panels were extensively used on the Melton Library and Learning Hub in Victoria to meet the building’s sustainability goals.
Designed by FJMT Architects, the Melton Library and Learning Hub is the first library in Australia to be awarded a 5 Star Green Star - Public Building Design PILOT rating by the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA).
Prodema facade panels in ProdEX Pale colour were specified for the project to address the building’s focus on sustainable design and energy efficiency.
Manufacturing exterior facade panels with wood veneer, Prodema is also one of the very few to launch ‘friends with nature’ and hold a PEFC certificate. Prodema’s green credentials support all matters related to sustainable forest management and guarantee that the wood used to manufacture ProdEX panels is sourced from environmentally and sustainably managed forests.
Completed in 2013, the Melton Library and Learning Hub was recognised with Sustainable Architecture Award 2014 and Public Architecture Commendation 2014.
