Paarhammer Windows & Doors was honoured with the ‘Best New Product’ award
for their brand new ECO-Façade stand at this year’s DesignBuild in Melbourne.
The façade was made using Sherpa connectors.
Consisting of two aluminium parts, which in principle, create a
form-fitting connection similar to a traditional dovetail connection, Sherpa
connectors allow for a safe force transfer in the installation direction,
opposite the installation direction, and opposite the installation direction
and perpendicular to the installation direction. Tension and compression forces
are also effortlessly handled by the connectors.
Sherpa connectors offer several advantages, including safety through an approved
system; multi-functionality in strength and application; standardised and
simple calculation; high degree of pre-fabrication; and fast installation.
Tony Paarhammer from Paarhammer Windows commented that Sherpa connectors
allowed them to create the award-winning façade for their stand at DesignBuild
through their strength, ease of manufacture and fast installation.
The proven Sherpa technology allows an efficient and competitive design
as well timely completion of sophisticated structures such as the new Docklands
Library in Melbourne.
Sherpa connectors are now available in Australia through Siegware.
