PALGLAS flat extruded acrylic panels from Palram Australia were installed as acoustic barriers along the 39km EastLink motorway in Victoria. The EastLink connects the eastern part of Melbourne with the freeways of the surrounding areas in Victoria.
Designed by Wood Marsh Architecture and executed in 2008, the freeway project used several transparent acoustic barriers in the vicinity of populated areas. Approximately 29,000 square metres of PALGLAS acrylic panels were supplied to the constructing company, Thiess John Holland. Five different colours of the 20mm panels were matched for the project by Palram, including orange and four shades of green.
