The Peel Away paint removal system was applied on a heritage building in Pymont Sydney to remove the old lead paint layers and restore the structure to its original condition.
The 1843 heritage listed M Central building had a combination of painted render, decorative moulding on the complete top floor, painted brick, and sandstone features.
The Peel Away system was specified to successfully remove multiple layers of old lead paint during the restoration project. Following the spray application of Peel Away 1, a spray-on watertight coating called Peel Away Cover Seal DS was applied to completely seal the surface during the paint stripping process.
The entire project was completed safely and efficiently with the building fully occupied and operational during the stripping process. The new Peel Away Cover Seal DS product is completely waterproof and airtight, and also improves the stripping process.
