Products from PGH Bricks & Pavers and Monier played a key role on Channel 9’s ‘The Block All Stars’ on their 2013 series in Bondi.
The series involved renovating four heritage-listed homes, with Gledswood Blend bricks from the PGH Dry pressed collection and Monier Terracotta Sunset roof tiles from the Marseille range used to enhance the aesthetics of the houses and provide a seamless look between the old and the new.
Gledswood Blend from the PGH Bricks & Pavers range of architectural dry pressed bricks is a mix of blue and brown hues. Dry pressed bricks are known as ‘solid bricks’ and made by pressing clay into individual moulds at very high pressure. Featuring a grainy, yet smooth, velvety appearance, these clay bricks age beautifully and contribute significantly to the aesthetics of the home.
The dry pressed palette has a vintage appearance, and consists of nine colour choices and a range of different shapes. Gledswood Blend and Mowbray Blue Splits are also available to use as a design feature brick.
Also on The Block All Stars show, Monier Terracotta Sunset roof tiles featuring the Marseille profile provide a timeless and classic look inspired by the tradition and lifestyle of the French countryside. Marseille’s striking colour palette enhances both contemporary and traditional architectural designs, while also offering abundant choice when matching and scheming the roof tiles with other building materials.
Monier Terracotta Sunset roof tiles come with a 50-year performance and colour guarantee.
The Block All Stars screened in February-March 2013 on Channel 9.
