Goal posts from PILA group® were supplied to the Guildford Primary School through the Coles AFL Goal Post subsidy.
The tiny country town primary school of Guildford located between Castlemaine and Daylesford, recently celebrated the launch of their newly erected goal posts secured through the Coles AFL Goal Post subsidy, which were received by Dean McLaren, the school’s popular Grade 4 – 6 teacher and Coles AFL School Ambassador.
Legendary VFL player and coach, Ron Barassi, who attended the school in the 1940s, gratefully accepted an invitation from his old school to be guest of honour and officially launch the new goal posts. Dean’s proposal for the Coles AFL goal post subsidy mentioned that ‘it is almost inconceivable that a school in which one of football’s greatest sons grew up does not have a set of goal posts’.
The new goal posts were supplied by AFL Victoria’s preferred goal post supplier, PILA group. Ron Barassi cut the official ribbon to launch the Guilford Primary School’s new goal posts.
