PROMATECT-L500 E&M enclosure from Promat Australia was a best-fit solution for protecting high voltage cables at the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre (VCCC) in Melbourne.
Located in Parkville, Victoria, about 3km north of Melbourne’s city centre, the billion-dollar purpose-built facility is dedicated to cancer research, treatment and care.
Designed by Design Inc Architects, the 120,000m² VCCC is built over 13 levels and includes two sky bridge links to the nearby Royal Melbourne Hospital. The new centre is also home to the city’s Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.
The project architect specified easy to install enclosure systems, with minimal spatial intrusions while also creating optimum headroom wherever possible.
Promat’s PROMATECT-L500 E&M enclosures best fulfilled project requirements to protect high voltage cables on cable trays attached to the underside of the concrete slab.
Over 500m² of PROMATECT-L500 in 2, 3 and 4-sided general E&M service enclosures were installed as scheduled and on time.
