Dieter Maes will be taking over the reins as general manager of Renson Outdoor from Dieter Heyman, who has helped put Renson's youngest business unit on the map over the past decade. The experience Maes (44) brings in scaling up businesses internationally is the perfect match for Renson Outdoor's ambition to keep growing around the world.
"I have every confidence that with Dieter, we have someone on board that can guarantee the continuity of our Outdoor division while also giving our international ambitions a whole new boost," Heyman asserts when asked about his successor.
Dieter Maes has been able to amass over 20 years of experience in international marketing, sales and business development at businesses including Verstraete IML and Multi-Color Corporation. "I absolutely believe in the value that can be added by a strong team, with the right combination of people and their talents," he comments.
"The best results are achieved by combining individual strengths and making the most of everyone's expertise. There's a wealth of talent at Renson, and I cannot wait to roll up my sleeves together with that team to convince the world that Renson is the pre-eminent brand when it comes to custom, high-end and comfortable outdoor living: unrivalled in terms of quality, design and durability. Together with our partners, we've already been developing ambitious plans to offer even better service to our customers. Through constant dialogue and by collaborating on innovation, we intend to remain one of the market leaders in outdoor living," Heyman adds.
At Renson, there is complete confidence in the fact that the pragmatic approach and skills of Dieter Maes will enable Renson Outdoor to continue its international expansion, even in a significantly changed and ever more complex market.
"In Dieter Maes, we're bringing on board an experienced individual who can spread the word about Renson's innovative DNA even wider internationally. Interest in outdoor living has shown no signs of slowing down since the formation of our outdoor living division in 2009. The focus in projects, buildings and public space is increasingly shifting toward health and wellbeing, with nature playing a prominent role. As a manufacturer, we are responding to that, and new prospects and opportunities are coming our way from around the world as a result. It is now up to Dieter to keep spotting the latest trends and make the most of them with the entire Outdoor team," says Renson Group CEO Paul Renson.
"At the same time, I would like to thank Dieter Heyman for the work he has done, and I wish him all the best with his future career," Renson adds. "It is thanks to his efforts and passion that Renson finds itself where it is now in the field of outdoor living: as the benchmark for quality and design. The growth we have achieved so far as a pioneer in outdoor living is partly down to him. Today, I'm looking forward to how we will continue to make a success of this trend."
Maes comments, "With a strong team, we can put Renson on the world map as the benchmark when it comes to custom high-end outdoor living."
'Creating Healthy Spaces' is the Renson baseline and motto. As a trendsetter in ventilation, sun protection, and outdoor living, this dynamic and fast-growing family business swears by natural elements such as light and air which, when used cleverly, provide the foundations for a healthy and comfortable living and working environment for everyone, whether indoors or outdoors.
Renson anticipates the future by significantly investing in innovation, communication, and internationalisation, while continuously focusing on a healthy, comfortable indoor climate and enjoyable outdoor living in homes, apartments, offices, schools and healthcare institutions. Its emphasis is on sustainable and aesthetically integrated overall concepts that set high energy efficiency, acoustics, and design standards.
Despite its strong local roots, Renson’s vision is growing increasingly international, as demonstrated by the strong distribution network that reaches as far as the USA, the Middle East, Asia, and even Australia. With this, Renson is strengthening its ambitions to grow from a Belgian company into a world player in ventilation, sun protection, and outdoor living. Renson has 1,600 employees worldwide and revenue of 300 million euros.
