Rheem Australia introduces a new range of compact electric water heaters
designed specifically for installation in confined spaces.
Rheem’s new 45L Compact electric water heater provides sufficient hot water
for a 14-minute shower.
One of the smallest over-40L electric water heaters on the market, the
new Compact fits into standard kitchen cabinetry designed for pre-MEPS 50L
electric water heaters, common in older style three-storey walk-up apartments,
according to Ben Murphy, Rheem’s Group Product Manager – Electric & Heat
Pump.
The compact design of Rheem 45L Compact eliminates the cost, time and
potential for damage arising from modifying the existing cabinetry to fit
regular 50L water heaters.
Measuring 393mm in diameter and 668mm in height (including the anode
cap), the new electric water heater is officially rated as delivering 40 litres
of hot water (in accordance with AS/NZS4692.1 & AS/1056.1), but actually
delivers 45 litres of hot water when tested to AS/1056.1.
Key features of the Rheem 45L Compact electric water heaters include a
superior 1400kPa pressure rating; two element power ratings – 2.4kW and 3.6kW;
2.4kW model with power lead also available; dual handed cold inlets, hot
outlets and T&PR fittings; recessed fittings to minimise installation space
requirements; and 7-year cylinder warranty.
