Rheem Australia announces the launch of a new heavy duty gas BMS interface
designed to inform facility managers about real time water heater status
remotely.
Designed to simplify life for facility managers, the new Rheem heavy
duty gas BMS interface module enables the interface between individual gas
water heaters and building management systems to remotely provide facility managers
with real time water heater status as well as identify issues.
Suitable for new installations as well as existing systems, the module is
mounted to the outside of the water heater and also features common, N/O and
N/C contacts for field connection by on-site trades. Any issue with the system
can be identified easily with the module providing a run/fail signal via
voltage-free contacts (common, N/O, N/C).
Operation modes include RUN (N/O) when the water heater is heating water
or is at temperature (green LED); and FAIL (N/C) indicating gas valve lockout,
over-temperature cut-out trip, or loss of power supply (red LED or no
indication).
Key features of the new Rheem heavy duty gas BMS interface modules also
include onboard LED status; ideal for indoor and outdoor installation; suitable
for Rheem models 621265, 621275, 631265 and 631275; and measuring 231mm (h) x
112mm (w) x 78mm (d).
