Bochini tensile structure fabric was the material of choice for a retractable roofing system sought by The Royal Hotel for their outdoor space.
Looking for a waterproof solution to cover their designated outdoor smoking area, The Royal Hotel wanted to work with a shade company that could design a solution that fit within all the parameters, and also engineer, supply, and install the entire job. The client did not have any existing architectural or building plans.
Additionally, the hotel wanted the flexibility to be able to open the structure for natural light during the winter months and close the roof to protect patrons during inclement weather, making the project even more complex. The solution also needed to be completely automated.
Bochini tensile structure fabric – Type 0 was selected for this project because it is 100% impermeable and translucent, and a very suitable fabric for a retractable roofing system.
