The redevelopment of the North Stand at the iconic Sydney Cricket Ground was an opportunity for the architects to showcase the next evolution of stadia design in Australia.
To ensure that the four hot water plants were a perfect fit for the building’s complex shape and design, Rinnai Australia manufactured each plant in their state-of-the-art factory so that they could be easily installed in their designated areas, externally as well as internally.
Each hot water package was fully plumbed and mounted on stainless steel skid bases, ensuring minimal site assembly. The players’ amenities plant was the most challenging of the four to execute as it was an internal installation set under the stand, which made the fan assisted flueing very difficult to achieve.
