Safetech supplied a new dock loading facility, custom designed to meet the specific needs of their client, Gundagai Meats.
Located in southern New South Wales, Gundagai Meats had an unusual problem with their current dock loading solution, which featured a standard dock design.
Standard docks are usually built to work with a standard truck type, providing a narrow range of dock loading heights. However, Gundagai Meats had a wide range of trucks in both large and small sizes, coming in to load produce.
Additionally, given the nature of the goods, Gundagai Meats sought a climate controlled environment to protect the produce. A mechanism was also needed to restrain the vehicles and prevent truck creep.
The custom dock solution from Safetech comprised of two step down 714h dock levellers, fitted with the Pit Bull vehicle restraint and Safetech inflatable dock shelters.
The custom dock levellers are designed to service truck beds from 1000mm to 1600mm, which is well outside Safetech’s standard dock leveller range. The dock levellers were supplied in a galvanised finish, and then mounted on Safetech’s freestanding dock frame.
