Sustainable building envelope specialist, Schüco has introduced an innovative underfloor roller carriage that allows a Schüco tilt/slide window-door (PASK) to be specified with a 20mm high, easy-access threshold.
Additionally, a profile-integrated, automatic soft-closing mechanism called Schüco SoftClose can be optionally used to enhance the opening vent’s action by making it smoother and reducing the risk of finger injury through incorrect operation.
Schüco’s new underfloor roller fitting includes a profile with an integrated track featuring a removable cover for easier maintenance of the unit. It can support a sliding vent with a basic depth of 90mm and a maximum weight of 180kg.
The new underfloor roller fitting can be used in combination with a Schüco 90 SI+ aluminium window to enable the whole tilt/slide system to achieve Passive House levels of thermal insulation. A continuous centre gasket ensures excellent weather-tight performance.
The fitting also improves overall security since Schüco’s new base profile eliminates the possibility of the track sagging over time.
