ShapeShell monocoque panels were specified for the feature facade on the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Care Hospital (VCCC) in Melbourne.
Designed by architecture firm STHDI+MCR, and built by Grocon PCL, the VCCC building features large span sweeping shapes wrapped around to create a dramatic and futuristic effect.
ShapeShell monocoque was used in this facade application for its lightweight, yet stiff characteristics. The cladding panels are fixed outside of the curtain wall and span 12 metres between fixings.
