Various floor coverings from Signature Floors were specified for the Daydream Island Resort in Queensland to introduce a contemporary vibe to the environment.
The resort was badly damaged after Cyclone Debbie in March 2017, following which considerable renovations were carried out for the next two years. Hunt Design was engaged for the renovation project with their work perfectly reflecting the relaxed, coastal and quintessentially Australian lifestyle.
Daydream Island Resort recently reopened after the renovation with the redevelopment encompassing both new hospitality spaces as well as the upgrade of 227 resort rooms. Signature’s custom carpet, carpet tiles and LVT Collection were selected to provide the contemporary foundation sought by the designers in the space.
Island developments are tough to execute, primarily because of the logistical challenges. At the Daydream Island Resort, the core building structures were in place, so the main focus was on waste material recycling and sustainability.
Specifically looking to work with companies that had good environmental policies, utilised recycled materials and manufactured low VOC products, Hunt Design selected Signature Floors as they were very conscious of picking products that were fit for purpose, had exceptional quality and provided a luxurious, timeless appeal.
Why Signature Floorconcepts:
Signature Studio’s custom carpet programme allows for design freedom, enabling the client to get a feature floor covering at a great price - one that is not only fit for purpose but also something they can touch and feel from inception.
Signature Floors’ broad product offering allowed the company to fulfil all the flooring requirements. With logistics being a huge part of island construction for Hunt Design, selecting all the floor coverings from a single source was a huge advantage for the designers.
Client feedback:
Hunt Design stated it was a pleasure working with the whole team at Signature, due to the passion for product and the level of service.
