Calacatta Blanco from Smartstone was the product of choice during the remodelling of a home executed by Dan Kitchens in Wahroonga. The brief from the owners of the home sought a kitchen that would be easy to clean and maintain, as well as warm and inviting.
Designer Vagn Madsen of Dan Kitchens explained that they chose Smartstone Calacatta Blanco because it represented one of the better marble-looking engineered stones, displaying many of the visual characteristics of Calacatta but in a more manageable and durable product.
Calacatta Blanco has been used on the island bench with waterfall ends providing a vibrant focal point in contrast to the calmness of all-white gloss doors. The engineered stone was also used as splashback in this kitchen, featuring brown-grey veining on a luminous white background accented with gold highlights.
Countertops in Smartstone Nieve White complement the bench, working well with the mirror, the Calacatta Blanco splashback and white cabinetry for the ‘all white’ impact.
