Smeg Australia invites design professionals to participate in the Smeg Tour 2020 competition for a chance to be recognised for outstanding kitchen design as well as experience Northern Italy's sumptuous architecture, history, culture, and food and wine.
Open to all architects and interior designers, the Smeg Tour 2020 competition requires participants to enter a built kitchen project with Smeg appliances completed between January 2018 and July 2019. Four winners will be selected to attend the prestigious Venice Architecture Biennale 2020 and join the coveted Smeg Tour.
The 2020 Smeg Tour begins on 21 May, 2020 at the exclusive Vernissage opening of the Venice Architecture Biennale. The Tour then takes in the Emilia Romagna region, the home of rich cuisine, technological innovation, world-renowned architecture and Smeg's headquarters where participants can experience Smeg's Italian artistry.
The entries will be judged by an esteemed panel comprising of leading architects, interior designers and industry influencers including Janet Holmes a Court AC, Commissioner, Australian Exhibition at the Venice Architecture Biennale 2012, 2014, 2016 & 2018, Smeg Tour 2012 & 2014; John Wardle, John Wardle Architects, Smeg Tour 2018; Anita Panov, panovscott Architects, Smeg Tour winner 2018; and David Karotkin, Carabiner, Smeg Tour 2014.
