SVC Products was recently awarded a Commendation in the Product Stewardship Centre of Excellence’s 2022 Excellence Awards in the category of Best Stewardship Outcomes – Individual Business or Brand (SMEs < 199 employees).
This recognition highlights the efforts of our entire team who have worked tirelessly to adopt product stewardship initiatives across the entirety of our business operations.
Product stewardship is an environmental management strategy where designers, manufacturers and suppliers take responsibility for minimising the environmental impact of a product throughout its life cycle. To date, SVC has introduced various initiatives to achieve this, including the use of low-carbon and carbon-neutral concrete, incorporating waste materials within our concrete products, and adopting multiple recycling practices for end-of-life product management.
The Product Stewardship Centre of Excellence provides support to suppliers and stakeholders within industry and government, aiming for the wide-scale adoption of product and material stewardship practices. Their annual awards program recognises businesses and individuals that have demonstrated excellence in product stewardship.
