Tessellated Tile Factory collaborated with Loucas Zahos Architects on the design of tessellated tiles for Hotel Indigo, Adelaide Markets. The collaboration culminated in the delivery of a bespoke tessellated application that was a celebration of Adelaide’s culture.
The rigorous design and production process involved creating pattern templates and colour schemes. Each tessellated design was influenced by Adelaide’s artistic, political and cultural landscape, a design intent that is executed in every detail of the hotel.
This large scale commercial project demanded timely production, communication with all stakeholders and the execution of a staged delivery of tiles to accommodate the construction process. The result was nothing but amazing where the craftsmanship, attention to detail and meticulous planning of the project resulted in a number of accolades:
- 2022 Swimming Pool & Spa Association National Awards for Excellence Gold Winner National and South Australia, for commercial pool up to $500,000.
- Australian Hotels Association’s SA Awards Best Boutique Superior Accommodation 2021 – Hotel Indigo Adelaide Markets
