The Lyell McEwin Hospital project in Adelaide, Australia involved creating new hospital facilities on an existing hospital campus. The $96M redevelopment spread over 35,000 square metres of space, was designed by Cheesman Architects in collaboration with Silver Thomas Hanley Perth, with the project setting new standards in low energy and sustainable design principles for health buildings in Australia.
Cheesman Architects created an inspiring and uplifting environment within the outpatient area of the Lyell McEwin Hospital using Bolon Studio flooring from the Create and Botanic collections. The vinyl flooring from Bolon was specified not only for meeting the high standards of the project and providing the advantage of quick installation, which would ensure health services were not interrupted, but also for the material’s sustainable accreditation and easy maintenance.
Bolon flooring combines the look and comfort of carpet with the practical hygiene benefits of vinyl, making it the perfect choice for healthcare environments. Struo and Agere from the Create collection, and Cilia and Osier from the Botanic collection contribute to a warm and welcoming environment in the Outpatient area of the hospital.
Bolon flooring is available in Australia from The Andrews Group.
