Flow is the latest flooring collection from Swedish design company Bolon
inspired by the timeless mystery of the oceans.
Bolon’s new woven vinyl flooring collection, Flow highlights design fluidity,
visual motion and soft pastel shades, combining these design characteristics
with sustainable benefits. The flooring’s aesthetics is partly achieved by the
use of a transparent warp that allows the weave’s subtle colours to shine
through, creating an overall impression reminiscent of a tranquil, watercolour
vista.
Chief Creative Officer Marie Eklund explains that Flow’s design
characteristics add natural harmony and grace to any interior. The new vinyl
flooring is also extremely versatile with every article in the collection integrating
beautifully.
Available in rolls and tiles, the new Flow collection also includes a new
organic tile shape called Scale featuring a soft, rounded form.
From a sustainability perspective, Flow is a breakthrough collection.
The bottom layer of the flooring’s backing is made of up to 33% recycled content
from Bolon’s recently commissioned 90-million SEK onsite recycling plant. Environmental
innovations at Bolon also include use of modern, phthalate-free raw materials, sourcing
locally drawn groundwater for cooling, and commitment to centralised production
for both process control and logistics.
All these initiatives are part of a long-term vision of the company
defined as ‘A Future Without Footprints’.
The new Bolon Flow woven vinyl flooring collection is available in two
patterns and 14 designs including seven rolls and seven tiles. Bolon Flow
flooring collection comes with a 15-year warranty and is classified 33 Heavy
Commercial.
Bolon flooring is available in Australia from TAG - the andrews group .
