Life cycle assessment specialist The Footprint Company combined their urban renewal project experience with specialised tools to help define the design strategy for the Union Court redevelopment at the Australian National University.
The Union Court redevelopment is a significant mixed-use renewal project for the iconic University with its ecological footprint being used as the central measurement and engagement framework for the design.
Working as part of a world class project team defining a one planet solution for the renewal of the Union Court precinct at Australia's pre-eminent research university, The Footprint Company collaborated with Civitas, RMS, Occulus, VillageWell, The Hornery Institute and Meld, using their past experience with other significant mixed-use and urban renewal projects to define a design strategy from the ground up and integrate the best technology and ecological efficiency into all aspects of the project.
The Footprint Company’s Precinct Calculator and multi-use applications were deployed to quantify the performance guidelines to achieve a one planet performance.
