Liebherr has chosen Trimble as its construction technology partner for the
upcoming Austrian Roadshow beginning in April 2015. To travel through Austria
and the Czech Republic making stops in five locations, the roadshow will
showcase the latest Liebherr machines equipped with the Trimble GCS900 Grade
Control System and the Trimble Loadrite weighing system.
Trimble GCS900 Grade Control
System
The GCS900 Grade Control System is a cutting-edge earthmoving grade
control system that revolutionises how earthworks are performed by putting
design surfaces, grades and alignments inside the cab. The system reduces
material overages and dramatically improves the contractor's productivity and
efficiency by using GNSS, GPS, laser, sonic or total station technology to
accurately position the blade or bucket in real-time.
Trimble will demonstrate the Trimble GCS900 Grade Control Systems on a Trimble
Ready Liebherr PR736 crawler tractor. Liebherr machines with the Trimble Ready
option have the cabling and brackets for Trimble grade control components
already installed. A Trimble Ready machine from Liebherr helps reduce Grade
Control System installation time, simplifies the installation and makes moving
the system from one machine to another easy. The Trimble Ready option is
available for Liebherr PR714, PR724, PR736 and PR754 crawler tractors.
Trimble Loadrite Weighing
Solutions
The Trimble Loadrite weighing system for excavators provides equipment
operators, site foremen and project managers with accurate payload weights,
enabling them to ensure machines are loaded to optimal capacity and loads are
accurately recorded. The Trimble Loadrite system will be shown on a Liebherr
material handling machine LH 35 M at the roadshow.
Trimble technology on Liebherr machines
The Liebherr Roadshow presents an opportunity for contractors to see
many of Trimble’s Connected Site solutions in action on a variety of Liebherr
construction machines. Roadshow visitors will have the opportunity to gain hands-on
experience and also discuss with specialists about the advantages of the
Connected Site solutions developed to optimise and integrate operations across
the construction site and the office.
