Trimble has introduced its next generation of high-accuracy Global Positioning System (GPS) receivers for Geographic Information System (GIS) data collection and mapping.
The GPS Pathfinder ProXH receiver is a high-performance integrated GPS receiver, antenna and battery all in a compact and lightweight unit. The ProXH receiver uses Bluetooth technology for cable-free communications to a field computer and Trimble’s powerful new H-Star technology to provide sub-foot (30cm) positioning accuracy, making it the highest performing GPS receiver for mapping on the market today.
The ProXH receiver can deliver sub-foot accuracy rapidly and reliably with a minimum of technical overhead – a cost-effective combination that has been lacking until now. The ProXH receiver is ideally suited for use in high accuracy mapping, data collection and asset management such as water/wastewater, utilities, cadastral, telecommunications, transportation as well as construction and engineering applications. In recent years, these industries have experienced increased requirements for sub-foot accuracy which, in the past, could only be addressed by long location occupation times or the use of survey grade systems that deliver a much higher accuracy than required.
In addition to the ProXH receiver, the all-new GPS Pathfinder Pro series also includes the ProXT receiver. In the same convenient form factor as the ProXH, the ProXT receiver delivers sub-meter accuracy.
