Peppermint Grove is one of Perth’s prestigious suburbs, known for its beautiful tree-lined streets, lush parks and large luxury homes located by the Swan River. It is conveniently situated halfway between Perth and Fremantle.

So, when Brent from Perth’s BL Carpentry Services, one of NewTechWood’s recommended installers in Western Australia, was approached by the owners for a cover/screen to hide their pool pump, he knew they would appreciate something unique. And he certainly delivered on that.

Using NewTechWood composite profiles, BL Carpentry constructed a combination screen with built-in fountain and lighting, which provides a remarkable after-hours effect.

Using NewTechWood’s UH61 Castellation cladding boards in colour Ipe, they installed these horizontally for the first part of the screen, incorporating the water fountain, lighting and glass bricks beneath. This pattern then flows into an amazing honeycomb design, made from composite decking boards.

They constructed the spectacular honeycomb effect first on the ground, using NewTechWood’s Metro square edge SU07 boards, also in colour Ipe, to achieve the desired shape and perfect dimensions before installing on the wall.

Then with that complete, they capped the top and sides with the same deck boards to provide a professional and clean finish.
