Weatherdon Hotel Supplies has moved into the food and beverage field with the acquisition of Connoisseur Collection.
Weatherdons has been traditionally in the guestroom supply area and the acquisition of the Connoisseur Collection range will broaden its reach to the restaurant and room service side.
Connoisseur Collection has been known for its ranges of cutlery, crockery, glassware and upmarket foodservice items.
Connoisseur Collection is the exclusive Australian distributor of the Nikko/Patra range of crockery from Thailand as well as the more exclusive Kahla porcelain from Germany.
Connoisseur Collection also represents the upmarket Sambonet range of holloware and cutlery from Italy.
Some of the products in the Sambonet range include specialty juice dispensers, chafing dishes and food service items.
Connoisseur Collection also markets it own range of cutlery and glassware under its own brand.
The acquisition follows Weatherdons recent opening of a Gold Coast office last month to better service the Queensland market.
Connoisseur Collection director, Russell Rumery, a well-known industry figure, has joined Weatherdons as well as sales representative, Ray Rooks.
The Connoisseur Collection stockholding has already been transferred to Weatherdons headquarters in St Leonards, Sydney.
Weatherdons supplies products such as small electrical and a myriad of guestroom products such as bins, trays, slippers and hangers.
