Covet's Ever Art Wood prefabricated Doubuchi screening and Kabebari battens provided the perfect finishing touch to the award-winning modern dual townhouse development in Seaholme, Victoria.
Designed by McGann Architects and built by Mancini Made, this stunning residential project was awarded the Master Builders Excellence in Housing Award 2018 (Best Multi up to 3).
Featuring floor to ceiling windows, ceiling cavities and glass balustrades, these dual townhouses were built to capture natural light. Covet's timber look Doubuchi prefabricated screens not only inject warmth into the facade, but also provide privacy for the residents without blocking the carefully captured sunlight.
The made-to-measure Doubuchi screening was prefabricated in Japan and delivered to site ready to install. Negating on-site labour and built using hollow section battens, the screens proved an economical choice.
The photorealistic timber look screening in textured Kuri Masame battens was also used in the development. Lightweight Ever Art Wood Kabebari 30x50 battens in the same colour were also utilised as batten cladding on the garage doors.
