Cosentino materials unify design and ensure chromatic harmony at elegant Australian home

The two kitchens – one indoor and one outdoor – along with the living area and ensuite bathroom, required a connection that ensured chromatic harmony without compromising on functionality and style. And the solution to give all these environments a sense of unity lay in the use of Cosentino materials.

With a blend of masculine and classic touches, this Australian property features dark tones as the core of its colour palette and style, paired with the understated architecture by Alan Sheppard Construction. The biggest design challenges were in the communal and wet areas. The two kitchens – one indoor and one outdoor – along with the living area and ensuite bathroom, required a connection that ensured chromatic harmony without compromising on functionality and style. And the solution to give all these environments a sense of unity lay in the use of Cosentino materials.

“We have been working with Cosentino for a long time and love their products. They offer a wide range of finishes. This makes it easy to find a product that matches the type of design and colour scheme we are looking for. Cosentino offers the best warranties on the market, which gives us and our customers peace of mind,” assures the construction company.

Low maintenance, high resistance

When it comes to highlighting the most striking decorative feature of the project, there is no doubt: “Although there are many interesting decorative features, if I had to choose one, it would be the Sensa Black Beauty fireplace surround. Its curves, fresh design and bold character make it stand out. It complements the style of the house perfectly and we absolutely love it,” confirms the studio.

But this is not the only area of the house where Cosentino materials are used. The same Sensa Black Beauty can be found in the vanity unit of the ensuite bathroom off the master bedroom, while Sensa Sant Angelo takes centre stage in the kitchen, used for the worktop, island and splashback, combined with a very elegant blue-grey hue. “The benefits of using Sensa in this project include its unique design, low maintenance and high stain resistance thanks to its treatment.”

Meanwhile, Dekton Grafite steals the show in the outdoor kitchen, teamed with wood and black tones. “The advantage of using Dekton for outdoor applications lies in its high resistance to UV rays, as well as its scratch and heat resistance,” they conclude.
