The Telstra Heritage Museum, housed in the historic Hawthorn Telephone Exchange, partnered with ASSA ABLOY to enhance accessibility while maintaining architectural integrity.

Duratec Limited engaged ASSA ABLOY to supply and install six SL500 automated doors, including frameless glass and ceiling-concealed operators. These upgrades ensure seamless, DDA-compliant access for all visitors, blending modern automation with the museum’s heritage aesthetics. The high-end design of the SL500 ADS-F bi-parting system and frameless glass door complements the space’s contemporary feel.

This transformation allows the National Communication Museum to welcome a broader audience, showcasing Australia’s telecommunications evolution in an inclusive and future-ready environment.
