Unispace announces the recent appointment of Simon Pole as Global Design Director in their Melbourne office.
Welcoming Simon Pole to the company, Unispace CEO Gareth Hales said that his passion, knowledge and experience of workplace design in an international sphere will be invaluable and inspirational for the company as well as their clients.
Pole was previously with Woods Bagot, working as Principal in both Europe and Australia for the past seven years. He has worked on several landmark projects in both the public and private sector including the multi-award-winning National Australia Bank (NAB) in Melbourne, HSBC’s Global HQ in London, Macquarie Group Sydney and multiple legal firms such as Eversheds and DLA Piper.
To be based in Melbourne, Pole will lead the design team regionally and work with fellow design directors around the world to drive growth and take the business to the next level of workplace design excellence.
Pole sees his new appointment as a great opportunity to build and help expand and evolve Unispace into a strong global design-led business.
Having worked in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia, Pole has extensive global experience in the design, design management and strategy behind efficient commercial workspaces for large multinationals. His global exposure gives him a unique understanding and appreciation of the international business landscape with an ability to translate the languages of design and strategy across multiple regions.
