Winners of the best stand (31m² - 70m²) at this years DesignEX event, ABET Laminati brought high pressure laminate to a new level with their Digitalia range, designed by Karim Rashid.
Recently celebrating 50 years since it's inception, ABET Laminati has always worked in close collaboration with leading international designers such as Sottsass, Mendini, Bellini, Mari, Colombo, and now Rashid, to transform the humble high pressure laminate of the 50's into a product in its own right and a new material to be moulded by creative minds.
Called the "Poet of Plastic" by Time Magazine, Cairo born Karim Rashid has over 3000 designs in production, and has now added the Digitalia range of high pressure laminate for ABET Laminati to his portfolio.
On display for the first time in Australia at DesignEX 2010, the Digitalia range of digitally printed decorative high pressure laminate includes 27 designs by Rashid, all with gloss finishes, which are ideal for commercial, educational, hospitality and residential applications where colour and bold prints are desired.
Suitable for use as tabletops, chairs, wall panelling, and covers, high pressure laminate from ABET Laminati is available in a multitude of grades and suface finishes - bringing the material well beyond the simple worktop.
With over 40 years experience in the field of high pressure laminates, ABET Laminati also offer design customisation through silkscreen printing and digital printing. Furthermore, ABET Laminati is a wholly owned subsidiary in Australia, ensuring total brand commitment and support on all of their products.
Australia' premier design and architecture event, DesignEX 2010, was recently held at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre. Over 300 interior design and architecture exhibitors, including ABET Laminati, showcased their innovations, products and services to thousands of trade professionals over a three day period.
