T BAUMA 2007, Atlas Copco introduced the HB10000 breaker, which, with a weight of 10t is the world’s largest breaker and, as such, designed for serious work. It requires a carrier in the 85t to 140t class.
The company also introduced smaller breakers, the SB52 and SB552 with weights of 55 kg and 520 kg. Montabert was also introducing new breakers – the V27000 has an operating weight of 2,560 kg. Rammer breakers have been rebranded under the name Sandvik.
An announcement on the Moxy stand certainly brought back memories from 40 years ago with the introduction of the AB46 rigid dump truck, which is a development of the Aveling Barford RD44.
Moxy bought the design rights to the Aveling Barford range and are planning larger models and possibly graders. The AB46 has a payload of 42t and a 399 kW Cummins engine.
Bell featured a tracked ADT developed for a specific customer need but it is considered to be a prototype model.
Bell is also to offer Sears Vibrations Monitoring Systems and advanced, computerise vibration-elimination seats as an option across the range. This is the first company to actually show steps being taken to meet the rather stringent European Directives on Whole Body Vibration, which come into force in a few weeks time.
