Australian Disabled Access Consultants attended last year's national professional association of disability access consultants network meeting in Australia.
The eighth Association of Consultants in Access Inc NSW Network meeting took place at the Multiple Sclerosis Society Study Centre conference rooms in Lidcombe.
The principle objectives of the meeting were to discuss the following:
- Unjustified hardship assessment processes under the Disability Access to Premises Standards 2010
- Complete a practical session demonstrating the preparation of an Access Report for an untenable hardship application;and
- Guidelines on the preparation of a submission to the Productivity Commission review of Federal Anti-Discrimination laws.
Australian Disabled Access Consultants were impressed at the commitment of the association's supporters and the success of the forum as an on-going educational, training tool as well as a unique networking opportunity for the members.
Australian Disabled Access Consultants continue to support the work carried out by the Association of Consultants in Access Inc. Network to promote awareness of disability access within the built environment.
