Available in 90mm, 140mm and 190mm thicknesses, the honed and polished blocks from Baines Masonry Blocks are made to order specifically for each individual project. This means blocks are produced and sourced from a single batch, resulting in consistent quality and colour. Available in a variety of colours, they are designed to create distinctive design features, while also complementing any existing design.
Honed blocks
Honed blocks are blocks that have had their face ground off exposing the aggregates in the product and resulting in a subtle matt-like finish. Aggregates can also be chosen to contrast with the product’s matrix colour.
Polished blocks
Polished blocks are highly finished blocks achieved by first honing the face off, and then polishing the honed face with increasingly finer polishing heads. Being considerably more expensive, polished blocks are often used to great effect to ‘highlight’ details or for special entrance or feature walls.
