Bildspec has recently installed their acoustic operable walls at Thompson Greer’s new office fitout in Martin Place, Sydney.
Unispace, a global leader in workplace strategy, design, project management, and construction, engaged Bildspec directly to complete this part of their overall fitout project.
Thomson Geer is one of Australia's largest independent corporate law firms, trusted by companies, governments and institutions to act for their commercial and legal interests.
Three 49Rw-rated acoustic office partitions with mechanical retracting seals were installed between various meeting spaces, enabling Thompson Greer to turn a single space into multiple, smaller spaces, or vice versa. They are now able to create a series of smaller meeting rooms, or a larger room with bigger capacity for meetings, training or leisure activities.
Bildspec’s operable walls are often utilised as moveable office partitions with acoustic properties to allow clients greater flexibility with their office spaces, through the creation of meeting rooms, boardrooms, breakout rooms and multipurpose breakout spaces.
These office partitions offer each application varying acoustic properties that are not only fit for purpose but also highly attractive and user friendly.
Operable walls allow a limited transfer of sound from the external office into the smaller individual space.
Customers can either choose glass or a combination of multiple solid materials including timber veneers, high pressure laminates, 2 pack polyurethane, colour back glass and fabric face finishes. The choice depends on the look, feel and acoustic environment you are trying to create in the office.
