Bildspec operable walls play an important role in providing improved acoustics in an educational setting. Their acoustic walls are often used to assist the creation of innovative, high-quality learning environments for students.

Innovative learning environments offer flexibility and adaptability where teachers/lecturers can provide opportunities for student engagement. The learning spaces are adaptable to accommodate small or large groups; include learning centres with flexible spaces that allow students to use technology in a variety of settings; and provide opportunities to enhance skills in collaboration, communication, critical thinking, problem solving and creativity.

Bildspec Operable Walls have installed a Series 100 Rw45 centre stacking operable wall with bottom mechanical retracting seals at EFSG Compliant School, Lilli Pilli Primary, for building company Adonis Building. The acoustic wall gives the teachers the ability to divide a larger classroom area into two acoustically controlled learning spaces as required.

The bottom mechanical seals play a crucial role in the acoustic wall’s ability to overcome sound transmission issues.

The specified face finish of Autex Composition 10mm used on the surface of the operable wall also improves the NRC (Noise Reduction Coefficient)/ reverberation acoustic quality of the space through sound absorption.
