Bildspec Operable Walls installed two Series 100 Rw49 moveable office partition walls to JC’s George St, Sydney head office. These centre-stacking operable walls with mechanical retracting bottom seals were specified by architect M Moser Associates whilst the office build was completed by boutique fitout and refurbishment company Metem.
Bildspec worked very closely with M Moser Associates on the job to fulfil the design intent by giving the end user the maximum flexibility for the multi-use area, which spanned a large meeting room and common staff area.
Apart from creating a flexible space, these acoustic partition walls are able to greatly reduce a significant amount of external noise from passing into the meeting and common areas when the wall is engaged. Different combinations of top/bottom seals and board constructions are crucial to the wall’s ability to overcome sound transmission issues.
