The Newcastle Knights chose Bildspec operable walls for their new $20 million Centre of Excellence at District Park, Broadmeadow, NSW.
Officially opened in March 2022, the Centre provides a high-performance training, administration and community facility for the identification, development and fostering of rugby league talent in the Hunter.
The facility includes three full-sized training fields, a state-of-the-art gym, multipurpose community and function area, theatrette and players’ lounge, rehabilitation space and office areas, and a precinct walking and cycle path. Designed by EJE Architecture, the project was efficiently built by Richard Crookes Constructions.
Bildspec was proud to be part of this amazing project, supplying their high-performance Series 100 acoustic walls in the function area, between the players’ dining facility and the kitchen/café area.
Bildspec’s operable walls are often utilised by clubs and leisure venues to allow greater flexibility with their spaces, through the creation of larger or smaller venue sizes at will. These operable acoustic walls offer each application varying acoustic properties that are not only fit for purpose but also highly attractive and user-friendly.
